April 3rd

The season has come to an end. Kelsey's team made it all the way to the National tournament in Rochester, NY.  The team went 3-0-0 in the round robin and then lost in the quarter finals. Kelsey did very well in the game that she played against a very tough Phantoms team from Philadelphia.   She finished #2 in the stats standings with a save% of .964 and a GAA of 1.00.

February 3rd

Kelsey is having a strong year so far.  She is enjoying the team and the level of competition. She has some major decisions to make with regards to next year.  Kelsey has been invited to play for NAHA  and Shattuck St Mary next year. Her current coach has also indicated that there would be a good chance for her to play for him again next year.  It really is hard to know which way will be the best for her and her overall development, both academically and athletically'

She has adjusted well to high school and is doing very well in her classes.  She has even moved up to a more challenging English class at the semester break.  She made AB honoor roll for the first semester. hopefully she will be able to stay on track for all four years and keep her college options open. She seems to enjoy the high school experience and I am happy she choose to return to the school environment.

November 28th

Kelsey has settled down in her playing and is getting back to her consistent playing.  The team is having a lot of success in their recent tournaments.  They went 3-1-0 in the Mission/Chill International tournament. Kelsey finished as the #3 goalie in the tournament at the 91 age group.

She got scouted by the Prospects and they did an article on her and the other girl on her team.

this past weekend her team competed in the Hockeytown Invitational. The highlight was getting to play at the Joe Louis Arena, home of the Detroit Red Wings. The team made it to the semi finals.

Kelsey is adjusting well to the school and is enjoying most of her classes. She had a good report card for her first quarter and usually does a good job staying on top of her homework.  Hopefully she can keep the discipline going for the next 8 years.

October 2nd,

Kelsey has now played in 4 games. She has had a bit of trouble adjusting and getting comfortable in net. Hopefully she will get more relaxed. Her team is 3-1-0 for the season. see below for her stats so far

September 26th,

Kelsey played in her first game for the 2005-06 season. The team played against the Green Bay Gamblers and defeated them 5-2.  The team has only had 2 weeks of practice prior to the game and have a few rough spots to smooth out, otherwise this is a very talented team and should have a great season. One of goals scored on Kelsey was a power play goal, but she would agree that she should have had both goals.

August 25th,

Kelsey finished her first Selects Camp this week as the top goalie. Way to go.

Her team finished undefeated for the week. Going 6 games with 30 goals for and 14 goals against. Kelsey had 4 shut outs for the week. 3 in regular play and 1 in the scrimmage.

It was an exciting week and a great experience to see so much talent at the 14U age group. Kelsey got to spend time with a lot of girls that she has only played against, including her future teammate, Amanda Kessel.

Here are some of the write ups on Kelsey and her teammate, Amanda Kessel for the week
